Portable telephone for personal digital cellular system

A pocket-size portable telephone for a digital cellular system is described. The telephone's design basis, the configuration of the portable phone radio unit, software configuration, major parameters and interfaces for G3 facsimile transmission and MNP modem (V.42 ANNEX) transmission are presented. This portable telephone features small size, high speech quality, long stand-by time, high quality data communication and an excellent man-machine interface.
