High efficiency solution processable polymer OLEDs: Manufacturing and characterization

2021
Abstract Two different PPV-based emitting polymers, PDY-132 and PDO-123, were used to fabricate high efficiency polymer light emitting devices (PLED). The study of the optical properties of the photoactive thin films, developed via spin coating process, was carried out using Spectroscopic Ellipsometry (SE) and Photoluminescence Spectroscopy (PL). The SE and PL results provided valuable information for the films' thickness, structural and emission characteristics. Electroluminescence and electrical measurements were realized in order to evaluate the functionality of the final produced PLED devices in terms of operational characteristics, luminance performance and color selectivity and stability.
