El jurista como operador social: La función del Derecho

espanolEn nuestro trabajo se aborda, a la luz de un concepto pragmatico del derecho, la funcion social de los juristas, y la necesidad de que cualquier operador juridico actue en sociedad presidiendo sus actos con respeto a la funcion que el derecho debe haber en sociedad, que no es tanto la de ordenar este, como la de evitar el conflicto social y facilitar la comunicacion y la conservacion de bienes en un clima de seguridad y justicia. EnglishOur work addresses, in light of a pragmatic concept of law, the social function of jurists, and the need for any legal operator to act in society presiding over their actions with respect to the role that law should have in society. The mission of the Law is not to order what society «should be», but to avoid social conflict and facilitate communication and the preservation of property and other goods in a climate of security and justice.
