LEARNING MODEL EFFECTIVENESS PICTURE AND PICTURE TO CHANGES OF BREAST SELF EXAMINATION (SADARI ) BEHAVIOR IN WOMEN AGES 30-50 YEARS

Introduction: Based on Research data of basic health in Indonesia (Riskesdas, 2013), the prevalence of cancer is 1.4 per 1000 of population about 347.792 person. Estimated incidence of breast cancer in Indonesia about 40 per 100.000 woman , this point increase from 2002 with the incident of breast cancer about 26 per 100.000 woman. Specially estimated in Riau Island are 378 case. Therefore, important to do periodic examination in effort of prevention and early detection of cancer with checking own breast method (SADARI). This information can be given by health education with education model picture to picture . Method: The study used quasi experiment one group pre and post test design with wilcoxon data analysis. This research in Tanjungpinang city in May until September 2016. The sample in this study is women aged 30-50 years old on RW VI Kelurahan Bugis Village about 20 persons. Result: Based on the study there are many significant behavior differences before and after learning model of picture and picture with significant value 0.034. Discussion: Expected health workers provide health education program of SADARI in Puskesmas using picture and picture model and create a cadre as role models for improving the public’s attention with SADARI.
