RESEARCH OF MRS SIGNAL CHARACTERISTICS AND APPLICATION IN PERMAFROST REGION

2013
To effectively explore the groundwater resources as well as liquid hydrogen proton in the detection depth, using Magnetic Resonance Sounding (MRS) to detect tundra land distribution and gas hydrate resources, is a new attempt, which indicates very extensive scientific significance and presents substantial practical application value. e.g. MRS technology adopted and applied in The Qinghai-Tibet Plateau permafrost region, where might conserve considerable natural gas hydrate, provides us a new noninvasive approach to reveal natural treasure reservoir. The structure of plateau permafrost is relatively complicated, this paper presents and reports on different kinds of frozen soil samples from MRS property experiment simulating the MRS signal features of frozen soil in the laboratory, simultaneously reflects on the field test in the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau permafrost region. By studying different features of hydrogen material MRS amplitude and time response as well as MRS anomaly law, signal characteristics are distinguished successful applications in Permafrost Region. On the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau permafrost, besides the MRS field-test, other kinds of geophysical methods are adopted as well. The comparison among these methods can contrast verification the feasibility of the MRS application. Meanwhile, several issues have been discussed, including the work mode of MRS applied in this special environment, and the problem about detection depth.
