Overpressure within the Northern North Sea as controlled by the upper cretaceous times

1993
Overpressures within the Jurassic reservoirs of the Northern Sea Basin are a key element within the different petroleum systems of that basin, especially for what regards hydrocarbon migration and charge, and both top and lateral sealing efficiencies. Their origin is predominatly due to rapid overburden loading of sediments together with additional effects from hydrocarbon generation.
