Response of GA3 and its Combination with Urea Phosphate and BA on Bunch Looseness and Cane Length of Grape cv. Thompson Seedless

2016
Effect of GA3 in combination with Urea Phosphate and BA on loosening of cluster and cane length of grape cv. Thompson Seedless was evaluated. Ten treatments of GA3 in combination with Urea Phosphate and BA and control (water spray) were applied at two stages that were pre bloom and berry set. Maximum loosening of clusters was attained with 40 ppm GA3 at pre-bloom stage along with 40 ppm GA3 + 1000 ppm urea phosphate at berry set stage. All the bioregulator and chemical treatments proved in improving cane length as compared to control. Among all the treatments, the combined application of both GA3 and BA at different concentrations (30 ppm, 40 ppm GA3 and 10 ppm BA) at two stages (pre-bloom and berry set) improved cane length effectively. Finally we concluded that GA3 along with Urea phosphate and BA influence the growth and quality of grape cv. Thompson Seedless.
