Analysis of the VHF radio signal coverage in the environment of a non-urban feeder for emergency attendance of occurrences

2018
In recent years, Electric Energy Distribution Companies have invested heavily in communication technologies and systems to provide better quality in the electric power supply. One of the main indicators is the Average Time of Attendance to the occurrences emergencies. To improve this indicator is fundamental the investment in efficient communication systems to reduce the time of service of the teams. This paper presents a study of the coverage of the VHF signal in the region of a feeder located in the rural area of the city, Tangara da Serra, from Computational simulations and measurements. This study aims to analyze the signal coverage in along the feeder to send services orders via radio to the field teams. Computational simulations were performed considering the main models for the proposed environment.
