From the Department of Internal Medicine, St. Luke’s Hospital, Chesterfield, MO. A 55-year-old man presented with pleuritic right-sided chest pain, mild hemoptysis, and chills for 5 days. Six days previously, he had a tooth extraction and abscess drainage. Computed tomography of the chest revealed bilateral cavitary nodules representing septic pulmonary emboli.
