Integration of the internet bioinformatic resource into the molecular biology course for graduate students

2013
Internet bioinformatic databases are not only the treasure houses for human disease research, but also provide various biological data and graphs which are draw by software from real biological data, and could be utilized in teaching. This paper describes the teaching practice of integrating the internet bioinformatic resources into the graduate course "the molecular basis of human diseases".While using the realistic graphs from bioinformatic websites to help students understand the abstractive vocabulary and theory in molecular biology and the molecular basis of human diseases, let them know the application of available bioinformatic resources and some unfamiliar bioinformatic symbols at specific scenarios, which will be helpful to their future research. Key words: Internet bioinformatic resources;  Molecular biology;  Graduate course;  Practice
