A ocupação da Idade do Ferro da Galeria da Cisterna (sistema cársico da nascente do Almonda, Torres Novas)

This work aims at studying the pottery and metal Iron Age assemblages from Galeria da Cisterna of the karst system of the Almonda River (Torres Novas), which were exhumed during the 1988–1989 excavation seasons at the cave site by J. Zilhao. Pottery is represented by 14 vessels whose chronology (4th–3rd centuries BC), based on typological comparisons, is in good accord with the one obtained by a radiocarbon dating of a wood sample from a spear found in 1998 in another sector of the gallery. This cave must have been a cemetery in Iron Age times
