Method for manufacturing methods and acrolein derivatives acrolein

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new method for producing acrolein, using a 3-alkoxy-1,2-propanediol as a raw material, and to provide a method for producing an acrolein derivative, using the acrolein. SOLUTION: There are provided: the method for producing the acrolein, characterized by producing the acrolein by a gas phase dehydration reaction using a 3-alkoxy-1,2-propanediol as a raw material; the method for producing the acrolein, characterized by using a composition containing the 3-alkoxy-1,2-propanediol and glycerol as raw materials; and a method for producing an acrolein derivative, using the acrolein.
