The Power Electronic Transformer based Multi-port DC Charging Station

Aiming at the need of smart electric grid as a schedulable energy storage system to realize energy optimization management of power grid in the future, this paper studies a multi-port DC charging station with G2V and V2G modes. The proposed DC charging station adopts cascaded multi-level power electronic transformer to connect to the 10kV distribution network, the isolation stage adopts multiple dual active inverter parallel structures to form a DC bus. The EV charge modules connected in parallel to the DC bus to form a multi-port charging station. The control method of the high-voltage stage and isolation stage of the power electronic transformer and the control methods of the charging module are analyzed in details, and the results of the proposed charging station and the control method are verified by simulation experiments.
