Investigation on status of mycoplasma infection of urinary tract in college students

Objective To understand the status of mycoplasma infection of urinary tract in the undergraduate students and analyze the risk factors in order to provide the scientific references for prevention against urinary tract mycoplasma infection in universities.Methods A questionnaire was made to investigate the risk factors of urinary tract mycoplasma infection.Te objects included all the students of Grade 2005 in a medical college of a university.The samples of 500 μL middle urine of the objects were collected and tested twice and the mycoplasma was cultured.SPSS 13.00 was applied for statistical analysis.Results Sixty and five cases among 998 students were mycoplasma infection positive(54 female,11 male),and the infection rate was 6.5%.Group logistic regression analysis showed that sex,parents being alive or not,and family residence were risk factors.Conclusions There exists mycoplasma infection of urinary tract in undergraduate students,and the infection rate of the female is significantly higher than that of the male.Sex,parents being alive or not and family residence are the risk factors.
