Morphological and histochemical analysis of mucous membrane transformation of the artificial urinary bladder

2011
The performed morphological study of the transformation mechanism of the intestinal reservoir of the mucous membrane using modern immunochemical and histochemical methods revealed three morphological phases of enteric epithelium adaptation: reactive-inflammatory, compensatory-protective, and atrophic. The enteric urinary reservoir preserves a cambial apparatus typical of the enteric phenotype with inherent apoptosis activity and proliferation, which confirms the low level of the tumor transformation risk.
