PENGARUH PERBEDAAN BESAR ARUS PADA SPOT WELDING MENGGUNAKAN GTAW DENGAN MATERIAL STAINLESS STEEL 304

2019
n Spot welding is one way of welding electrical resistance where two or more metals are clamped between two metal electrodes. Electric current is flowed through an electrode made of copper, because the electric current must go through the two clamped metals so that the clamps will heat up due to electrical resistance that causes the metal in the place to melt and then connect. The clamping process requires complex equipment because it must be strong. So that point welding equipment is not used by home sheet metal industries. With the background of these problems, this study tries to change the method of point welding by using a TIG welding model that is directly emphasized on the material. Electric cCurrent variations used 90, 100, 110 A are used to connect the single lap joint model to stainless steel grade 304 with 2 mm thick material held for 5 seconds. The data is taken by tensile strength test results by analyzing macro metallography to see the bonding of the material. Welding results with 90 amperes of deepest penetration with a tensile strength of 408.5 N / mm2. n n
