The review deals with the collective monography edited by Caterina Carpinato and Olga Tribulato. The publication is a result of a meeting held in Venice, May 17, 2013. Its editors, both from the Department of Humanities of the Ca' Foscari University of Venice, have gathered seven papers (three in Italian and four in English) which deal with various questions of the development of the Greek language.
