Femoral Nerve Injury: Complication After Hip Arthroplasty and Secondary Acetabular Fracture: A Case Report and Review of Literature

: Femoral neuropathy is an infrequent complication after surgeries or obstetric procedures and is most commonly reported after direct trauma. The neurological injury after hip surgery is one of the most horrible complications for either the surgeon or the patient. The objective of this article is to present the unusual complication of femoral nerve injury after the implantation of a hip prosthesis and a subsequent revision by secondary acetabular fracture and review the clinical picture, the probable factors, the pathological conditions, the diagnostic confirmation tests, and the therapeutic options as well as the prognosis, in this particular case.
