Posttraumatic Bilhemia: diagnosis and catheter therapy.
1982
Hemobilia, as defined by the presence of blood in the bile ducts, is not uncommon in liver trauma: over 200 cases have been reported. Bilhemia, as defined by the passage of bile into the blood through a fistula between the bile duct system and the venous system, is rather exceptional: only four cases have been published [1 -4]. We discuss the first case in which angiographic management has been successfully achieved under radioendoscopic control.
