Oleuropein, a Secoiridoid Glucoside from Olive, as a Feeding Stimulant to the Olive Weevil (Dyscerus perforatus)

From olive [Olea europaea LINNE; Oleaceae], a feeding stimulant to the olive weevil [Dyscerus perforatus (ROELOFS); Coleopetera; Curculionidae] was extracted with methanol and identified as oleuropein, a secoiridoid glucoside, by spectroscopic methods.
