Two data reduction methods for evaluation of thermal diffusivity from step-heating measurements

1997
Abstract In this paper the principle and theoretical basis of the step-heating technique for thermal diffusivity measurement is summarized. Application of two numerical fitting methods for data reduction-least-squares and Levenberg-Marquardt methods-is described. Results of thermal diffusivity estimation from both simulated and experimental data are presented and discussed.
