Study of formation and nonlinear dynamics of squeezed beam state in a vircator with helical electron beam and additional breaking field

The results of a numerical simulation and analysis of formation and nonlinear dynamics of the squeezed state in a helical electron beam in a low-voltage vircator with additional slowing-down of electrons are presented. Fields of control parameters where the squeezed state is realized in such system are revealed. Peculiarities of dynamics of the system under study are analyzed. The formation of the squeezed state in a low-voltage system with slowing-down is shown to be accompanied by the appearance of low-frequency longitudinal dynamics of a space charge that is not typical for the squeezed state in the case of relativistic electron beams.
