Hydrothermal Synthesis of Transition-Metal Sulfide Dendrites or Microspheres with Functional Imidazolium Salt.

Dendritic nanostructures of PbS and CdS, as well as microspheres of ZnS, CoS, and Cu2S are hydrothermally prepared from aqueous solutions of MCl2 (M: Cd, Co, Cu) or M(OAc)2 (M: Pb, Zn) and [bmim][SCN] as both sulfur source and capping ligand (autoclave, 200 °C, 24 h).
