AVALIAÇÃO DE DESEMPENHO ESTRUTURAL DE BARREIRAS PRÉ-FABRICADAS DE CONCRETO ARMADO

2014
Concrete barriers are rigid devices used as a component in road safety, designed to absorb the shock side of unguided vehicles and providing its realignment to the traffic lane. In this paper barriers are analyzed through experimental and numerical models based on the recommendations of Brazilian Standards. The geometries and parameters used for modeling the barriers were based on the design specifications of the Department of Roads (DER) of the State of Sao Paulo. The study consists in analyzing the static and dynamic efficiency of these barriers through experimental tests and numerical simulations, adopting the minimum standards of design Brazilian standard NBR 14885:2004. The analysis includes the study of stress distribution in the barrier, when subjected to static load, considering different boundary conditions on the base, as well as the performance of the geometry and stiffness of the barrier in the process of impact energy absorption of vehicles. Whenever possible, a correlation with the literature and international standards is provided. QUEIROZ, P. C. O.; HAACH, V. G.; EL DEBS, A. L. H. C.
