Auto-Tuning Control of Single Tuned Filter

To eliminate the mis-tuning of a single tuned filter, an experimental system of auto-tuned filter with a continuously tunable reactor is developed, and an auto-tuning technique is introduced into the filter. The auto-tuning system is composed of a continuously tunable reactor and an auto-tuning control system. The tunable reactor is based on orthogonal magnetizing with two windings. The inductance of AC winding can be continuously adjusted by varying the direct current in control winding. The reactor has an inversely adjusting characteristic and wide enough tunable range to satisfy the mis-tuning compensation. The control system takes the h order harmonic impedance angle as a control objective, adopts a PI regulator and other strategy to ensure the performance and stability of the auto-tuning system. The experiment results show the correctness of mis-tuning compensation strategy and the feasibility of auto-tuned filter.
