This research aims to determine how the dairy farming motive and performance of dairy farmers on their business and to know the correlation of motive dairy farming and performance of dairy farmers. The research was conducted on 18 January 2016 to 28 February 2016 on three dairy cattle farmer groups in Cipageran Village, District of North Cimahi, Cimahi City. The research used a survey method. The sampling had done by Proportional Random Sampling. The samples used on this research are 30 dairy farmers which represent three different groups. The research conducted with quantitative approach with Spearman Rank coefficient analysis to determine the correlation among variables. The result of this research showed that the dairy farming motive and the performance of dairy farmers belongs to fair category, and the correlation between motive dairy farming and performance of dairy farmers is significant (rs=0.663) which means there is a positive correlation between motive dairy farming and the performance of dairy farmers.
