Effects of High AC Magnetic Field Stimulus to the Nematode

To examine the effects of ac magnetic fields on the human body, we studied the locomotive behavior of the free-living soil nematode after it had been exposed to a high ac magnetic field. We compared two groups of worms that had the same culture condition but one group is exposed to the magnetic field. A definite difference in behavior between the two groups was observed. These results suggest that an ac magnetic field may influence the nervous system and muscular system of a nematode.
