The invention discloses an electrochemical super capacitor and a manufacturing method thereof. The manufacturing method for the super capacitor comprises the following steps of: (1) superposing a first pole piece, an outer diaphragm, a second pole piece and an inner diaphragm from outside to inside in turn, and coiling the components to manufacture an electrode coiled core of which two ends are provided with outstretched electrode lugs; (2) compacting the electrode lugs at the two ends of the electrode coiled core, fixedly connecting the compacted electrode lugs to a packing block respectively, and assembling the electrode lugs with a shell by adopting a cold-hot mixed assembling mode; (3) sleeving an insulating washer on the packing block, then matching and connecting the packing block with the lower part of an end cover, sleeving a seal ring on the lower part of the end cover, and sleeving an insulating washer on the upper part of the end cover; and (4) forming a rolling groove on a part of the shell corresponding to a gap between the packing block and the end cover, compacting the inner wall of the roller groove to the seal ring and the insulating washer, and then packaging the components to manufacture the electrochemical super conductor. The manufacturing method provided by the invention is simple and is suitable for industrial production, and the electrochemical super conductor manufactured by the method has small internal resistance and good insulating property, is difficult to generate heat and is suitable for high-power application.
