Dream Chaser On-Orbit Operations: Preliminary Trajectory Design and Analysis

Under NASA’s Commercial Crew Development (CCDev) program, Sierra Nevada Corporation (SNC) secured the initial funding to develop and demonstrate capabilities for commercial human spaceflight services. The vehicle designed to provide human transportation to and from Low Earth Orbit (LEO) is the Dream Chaser spacecraft. With the subcontracted support of Draper Laboratory and Boeing, Sierra Nevada Corporation has successfully completed the Phase 1 development of the Dream Chaser design. This paper presents details regarding the preliminary on-orbit trajectory design and analysis.
