A demand of diesel engine continuously increase because has benefits that is higher efficiency and lower CO₂ emission than gasoline engine. The diesel oxidation catalyst (DOC) is a widely used device to reduce harmful species of exhaust gas with less engine back pressure. DOCs promote chemical oxidation of carbon monoxide and hydrocarbon, also oxidize sulfur dioxide which is present in diesel exhaust from the combustion of sulfur containing fuel. The DOC might be not free from S compound in emerging countries using high sulfur contents. So those are to improve of S tolerance for durability due to deactivate by sulfur. The prepared DOC using various design factors is evaluated to oxidation performance at model gas reactor (MGR) and vehicle. Among of them, catalyst which is controlled wash-coat loading amount has a good S tolerance and CO removal activity.
