Polyol assisted hydrothermal method for synthesis of zirconium oxide nano-powder

2013
The invention discloses a polyol assisted hydrothermal method for synthesis of a zirconium oxide nano-powder. The method comprises the following steps: preparing a reaction solution: adding a certain amount of a zirconium source, polyol, a stabilizing agent and a surface active agent into a certain volume of deionized water, and mixing evenly by stirring at a certain temperature; adding a certain amount of ammonia water, regulating a pH value to 10, and stirring for a certain time at a certain temperature; conducting a hydrothermal reaction; and after the hydrothermal mixed reaction, cooling, washing to neutral with distilled water or deionized water, and then drying to obtain the nano-powder with good dispersion. The method provided by the invention has the following advantages possessed by hydrothermal synthesis of a ceramic powder: low energy consumption, no pollution, no impurity phase, simple process, precise component control, and roles of phase transformation promotion and stability of crystalline phase; and the obtained powder has small particles, uniform particle size, good dispersibility, and no requirement of high temperature annealing, so as to avoid generation of hard agglomeration, and facilitate energy conservation and environmental protection.
