Intracavity frequency-modulation spectroscopy and its use for frequency stabilization

Abstract The results of a study of frequency-modulation resonances of saturated absorption and saturated dispersion in He-Ne/CH 4 lasers with ring and Fabry-Perot cavity are presented. Two possible applications of these resonances are examined: for super-high resolution laser spectroscopy and as frequency references in optical frequency standards.
