"Move on": Qualifikationsstruktur und Erwerbstätigkeit in Berufen der räumlichen Mobilität

Developments in electromobility and in digitalisation lead to a fundamental shift of the mobility sectors on the German labour market that will see future mobility determined by electrical, networked and autonomous driving. If we take due account of the globalisation of the economy and of increasing leisure time, optimisation can only take place within the context of the overall system. In future, mobility will no longer be delivered by individual technologies and modes of transport. It affects sectors and occupations in which persons themselves are mobile or in which mobile units are produced and traded, and those that ensure the necessary infrastructure for the operation of mobile units. The present study adopts this comprehensive understanding of areas of mobility on the labour market to contribute to current training and employment in occupations in the mobility sectors. The results provide a summary of economic importance and the mobility occupations.
