Vergleichende Wertung verschiedener, in der HNO-Praxis durchführbarer diagnostischer Methoden bei der laryngologischen Krebsfrüherkennung

Within a cancer-prevention-consultation 233 patients have been examined. Within this examination we have used the larynx-microscopy, stroboscopy, toluidin-test and cytology. It has been possible to demonstrate that cytology is an extreme helpful method in finding diagnosis although it is a very simple one. For example: all diagnosticated malignomes were recognisable (that means no wrong negative result), just one result had been wrongly interpreted by a positive finding. Several dysplasy-degrees could be differentiated. Altogether the certainty in finding is a high one. The toluidin-test cannot be done in a proper way without premedication and therefore for daily use it is not recommendable. The authenticity is not sufficient.
