Na2Y3Cl3[TeO3]4: Synthesis, Crystal Structure and Spectroscopic Properties of the Bulk Material and its Luminescent Eu3+-doped Samples

Colorless single crystals of the title compound are prepared by solid state reaction of Y2O3 and TeO2 in a molar ratio of 3:8 with an excess of NaCl as flux and reactant (silica ampule, Ar, 775 °C, 5 d).
