Absence of the UPS 4σ band for NO chemisorbed on cobalt

Abstract It has been first observed that there are no 4σ bands in UPS HeII spectra for chemisorbed NO on a clean cobalt surface. The results are discussed in terms of orientations of chemisorbed NO species.
