A model predictive current control method of PMSM based on the simultaneous optimization of voltage vector and duty cycle

2016
In the traditional duty cycle model predictive current control (MPCC), there are still large current ripples because voltage vector and duty cycle is optimized separately, which cannot ensure the applied voltage vector is global optimization. An MPCC method of permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) based on the simultaneous optimization of voltage vector and duty cycle is proposed in this paper. In the proposed MPCC method, the duration of every active-vector is calculated based on the principle of deadbeat q-axis current control firstly. Then, both voltage vector and voltage vector duration are optimized simultaneously in the cost function. Simulation results show that, compared to the traditional duty cycle MPCC, the proposed MPCC method achieve lower current ripples and less current harmonics.
