Application progress of two-dimensional speckle tracking imaging in patients with cardiovascular diseases

Two-dimensional speckle tracking imaging(2D-STI) is a new technology of ultrasound.Without angle dependence,2D-STI can quantitatively evaluate the regional and whole motion situation of myocardium,and therefore benefit on the diagnosis,following-up and prognosis of cardiovascular diseases.The applications of 2D-STI in cardiovascular diseases were reviewed in this article.
