ANALISIS KUALITAS AIR ASAM TAMBANG DI PT. BARA BATIN PRATAMA (NAN RIANG GROUP), KECAMATAN MUARA TEMBESI, KABUPATEN BATANGHARI, PROVINSI JAMBI UNTUK MEMENUHI BAKU MUTU LINGKUNGAN

2020
Acid mine water (AMD) is the result of oxidation of sulfide minerals in rocks that react with oxygen in the air in an aqueous environment as a result of mining activities. In Kepmen LH no. 113 tahun 2003 and UU no. 4 tahun 2009, mining company is required to handle affected water and post-mining reclamation. The study purpose was to analyze AMD quality at PT. Bara Batin Pratama adjusted to the environmental quality standards. The research phase are literature study, field observations, sampling, laboratory tests and analysis of laboratory results. The study shown deviation temperature values <3, inlet pH 2.73, outlet pH 2.67; Manganese inlet 21 mg/L, Manganese outlet 15 mg/L, Iron inlet 38 mg/L, Iron outlet 38 mg/L, TSS inlet 466 mg/L, TSS outlet 262 mg/L, Sulfide inlet 0.02 mg/L and 0.02 mg/L outlet sulfide. This indicate that the company's AMD has not met the quality standards. Quality standards for temperature are deviation ± 3, pH 6-9, Manganese 4 mg/L, Iron 7 mg/L, and TSS 400 mg/L. It is necessary to optimize the function of the mud settling pond, neutralizing acid mine water, and improving the drainage system.
