Synthesis of pyrrolobenzoxazepinones by CuI/L-proline-catalyzed intramolecular coupling reactions

Abstract A copper-catalyzed process for the construction of pyrrolobenzoxazepinones from 2-(2-iodophenoxy)-1-(1 H -pyrrol-2-yl)ethanones is described. The reaction afforded a variety of products in good to excellent yields.
