A research of hot spot on PV module with Pspice

By modeling and simulating the PV cell and module with the programming function of Pspice and the PV equivalent circuit,the I-U characteristic curves of a shaded single PV cell under different shading percentage and the PV module with one shaded cell were obtained.Further more,the voltage curve of shaded cell changing with PV module operation voltage has been gotten.Based on these simulation results,the principle of Hot Spot accruing,the possibility and condition of leading to Hot Spot in single module and double modules in series,were analyzed.An optimal number of cells one by-pass diode can installed in parallel was figured out.
