the clinical importance on detecting the BALP in prostatic carcinoma complicating osseous metastasis patients

2006
Objective To investigate the importance on detecting the BALP in prostatic carcinoma complicating osseous metastasis patients. Methods 40 patients having mμ ltiple osseous metastasis were recruited into experiment group, other 10 patients without osseous metastasis were control group,we thought the bone imaging adding CT|X after3-5 monthes as glod standard, and divided three grades according to bone imaging, edtecting the PSA、BALP by ELISA methods, the activity of ALP were detected by nitrobenzene phosphate salt method, calculate the ensitivity and specificity of different diagnosis methods. Results The level of PSA、ALP、BALP in peripherial blood in osseous group show significant difference with control group(P0.05),they all have significant positive correlation with different grades according to bone imaging(r=0.789,0.814,0.912;P=0.041,0.035,0.011),the sensitivity of bone imaging is highest(95),but specificity lowest(40%);the sensitivity combining bone imaging and BALP lowest(53.5%),but the specificity highest(100%).Conclusion the specificity of BALP on diagnosising the osseous metastasis of prostatic carcinoma, combining the bone imaging with BALP can increase specificity.
