Nano/Micro Structured Porous Li4Ti5O12 Synthesized by a Polyethylene Glycol Assisted Hydrothermal Method for High Rate Lithium-Ion Batteries.

Nano/micro structured porous Li4Ti5O12 for high rate Li-ion batteries is prepared by mixing EtOH solutions of LiOH and PEG to which H2O and (Bu-O)4Ti is given under stirring in an ice bath followed by hydrothermal treatment of the resulting dispersion (autoclave, 120 °C, 24 h), drying, and calcination in air (500-700 °C, 2 h).
