The utility model discloses a coolant temperature sensor, belongs to the technical field of temperature sensors, and mainly aims at solving problems that the responsive time of a conventional temperature sensor is long and the sealing is poor due to the damage, caused by press riveting, on a housing of the conventional sensor. The coolant temperature sensor is mainly characterized in that the coolant temperature sensor comprises a housing, a thermistor, an O-shaped sealing ring, a washer, an inserting sheet and an end button; the end button and the inserting sheet are integrally moulded in an injection manner; the end portion of the inserting sheet is provided with a contact made of anti-oxidation and corrosion-resistant materials; the thermistor is welded to the contact of the end portion of the inserting sheet to form a thermistor assembly; the thermistor is arranged at the top end of a thermistor installation chamber disposed inside the housing, and heat conductive silicone grease are filled inside the thermistor installation chamber and between the housing and the thermistor; and rolling and three-punching-point riveting are carried out on the end button thermistor assembly and the housing. The coolant temperature sensor is characterized in that the coolant temperature sensor is easy to assemble, is measurable, is of high reliability and long service lifetime, and is free of maintenance, and the coolant temperature sensor is mainly used for measuring coolant temperature of an automobile engine.
