The Support of Spatial Orientation of Persons with Visual Impairment by means of Modern Aids

In the article we introduce the issue of spatial orientation trainingfor persons with visual impairment. We concentrate on the use of modern aids supporting spatial orientation. First we discuss different aids and then audio-tactile maps that are being developed under the project TACR TL01000507.
