Transmitter for UWB Stepped-Frequency Noise Radar

In the paper we consider application of Stepped-Frequency Noise Radar concept for generation of a narrowband random signal with stepped increase of central frequency to cover a frequency span exceeding 30% of its central frequency. Such a radar provides range resolution about few cm in Ku-band which is equivalent to application of noise signal with instant UWB power spectral density to design UWB Noise Radar with the above range resolution. Some results of its implementation are presented to validate the concept.
