Study on Transmission Non-uniformity of the Wide Field-of-View Optics

2016
The transmission non-uniformity of the wide field-of-view optics is one important element that affects the radiance measurement accuracy. The relative intensity transmission variation of the optics are analyzed by measuring the non polarized radiance from the integrating sphere, and a fitted polynomial function of the relative intensity transmission relating each viewing direction within the CCD camera field of view is presented. The flaws of the optical components and the abnormal noise of the CCD detector have litter influence on the fitted function because of statistical treatment with the whole field of view of the CCD camera. The experimental results show that the fitting polynomial function of the relative intensity transmission can appropriately characterize the transmissionphenomena of the optics.
