This study had the purpose to accomplish a bibliographical survey in national journals on experiences of educational practices told by nurses of hospital services. The database used was LILACS and the key words were: continuous education, permanent education and health services. The criteria for the selection of the articles were: to be directly related with the hospital area; to have nurses as main authors; to report results of experiences of educational practices and; to be published from1997 to 2007. The samples consisted of 17 articles. The analysis of the published experiences allows concluding that: the educational practices still follow the logic of the Continuous Education; its planning is not totally complete; there is lack of information on workload, methodological strategies and of evaluation, resources and expected results and; nurses still publishes in an isolated way. The analyzed articles lead to the reflection of a need of transforming educational practices and not just being reproductive of an uncritical performance at the working environment. It does not have to do with excluding Continuous Education activities, but, with the inclusion of practices of Continuous Education in Service in the hospital work environment, with the effective participation of the workers.
