A process for producing a coating on the inner surface of a tube for pipe installation, comprising the following sequence of steps: * applying a layer of a liquid coating composition curable by UV radiation on said surface, * cure said layer by irradiating it with UV light, wherein said composition comprises: * one or more oligomers, being resins (meth) photocurable acrylate, * one or more monomers of (meth) acrylate, * one or more adhesion promoters * one or more photopolymerization initiators, and * red pigment iron oxide, wherein said curing step is performed by placing one or more UV lamps configured to irradiate said inner surface with a continuous motion or stepwise the movement of said lamps relative to the tube takes place in the longitudinal direction of said tube while the tube is rotated about its central axis and / or mientra s lamps rotate about said central axis.
