Corrosion of oil field equipment at the Samotlor field and methods of preventing it

The reasons for corrosion are studied, and ways of protecting oil field equipment and pipelines during the collection and transport of oil. Results are given from field tests of amine type inhibitors, and a set of industrial measures noted to protect oil traps of the Samotlor oil field.
